Another West Coast act being honored is Too Short, whose career has been anything but. The MC has been in the game for more than 20 years, spawning hits such as "Short Dog the Pimp" in the late '80s and a guest spot on Snoop Dogg's "Life of Da Party" earlier this year.
He now faces four felony drug charges and seven misdemeanor animal-cruelty charges, in connection with a raid on his Arizona home in May. He has also been charged with theft of services and identity theft for allegedly using a fake ID at a health clinic. The rapper was in the process of paying his $25,000 cash bond Thursday evening.

The tour, which also features LL Cool J, is slated to continue through October 22, although Jackson's Wednesday show at TD Banknorth Garden in Boston has been postponed "due to illness," according to the venue's Web site. Her Philadelphia concert on Thursday was still on schedule at press time.
